Q: Just how portable is the INOGEN One?
A: The INOGEN One is only 9.8 lbs including the battery. It is about 12 inches high, 6 inches wide & 11 inches long. It can be carried (has a carry case) or pulled in a portable cart. It comes with all the accessories.
Q: Can I use it in Europe ?
A: Absolutely! It is designed to accept 110-120V (North American) & 220-240V which is the normal operating current in Europe (adaptor plugs for use in ALL European countries are included). It can also plug into a vehicle lighter socket.
Q: How do I charge the battery and how long does it last?
A: The battery automatically charges when the INOGEN One is plugged into any power source. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the battery. At a normal 2 liter per minute flow rate, the battery will last about 3 hours. CareVacations supplies 3 batteries with each INOGEN One rental so you have lots of portable time!. (Except Home Test which only comes with one battery.)
Q: Can I use the INOGEN One when I'm resting or at night when I'm sleeping?
A: The technical wizards at INOGEN have tested this unit extensively for nighttime use with great results. Oxygen saturation levels on patients using the INOGEN One at night have maintained almost normal levels. Test results are available on request.
Q: Can I test the INOGEN One myself before I go on vacation?
A: You sure can & we recommend it! For a small fee (much of which will be applied to your rental invoice if you decide to rent the unit) we send you the INOGEN One to test for 3 days. Give it a good workout both day & night before sending it back to us. When you're confident it works for you, confirm the INOGEN One with our Oxygen Specialist!
Q: I use cylinders and Liquid oxygen at home. What benefit is the INOGEN One on my cruise?
A: The INOGEN One can basically replace both your home and portable oxygen supply. In most countries outside North America , oxygen equipment is much different than we know it to be. Service standards are also much different. Non-delivery or refusal to deliver is a frequent event. The benefit of the INOGEN One is that you are carrying your own oxygen supply with you.
Q: Do I have to carry the INOGEN One with me from North America ?
A: YES! The INOGEN One and all its accessories will be shipped to you about 1-2 days before your scheduled departure. The actual unit needs to be “hand carried” on board any aircraft (it's very safe). Most accessories can be carried in your checked luggage. The benefits to carrying the INOGEN One with you are multiple. First, you know your oxygen will be there! Second, you have portable oxygen at airports, ground transfers, hotels and anywhere else you need it.
Q: If I really like the INOGEN One, can I purchase one from you?
A:
YES! We have one waiting just for you and can even offer you GREAT pricing!
